Touched By Mercy Ministries for the past several weeks have started what we have entitled "The 7:00 PM prayer project." Each night, where ever the participant is, they will stop what they are doing, if feasible, and pray for fifteen minutes. This provides a time during the day where the body of Christ is unified in prayer--calling on God. The central theme of this time in prayer is to:
1. Pray for the peace of Israel
2. Pray for a personal revival
3. Praying for each other
4. Praying for unity in the body of Christ world wide
The Word declares in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
As believers we rattle this verse off like a mantra when talking about the spiritual restoration of our homeland, but what about the land inside each and every one of us--our inner being. What about the condition of our soul? Or, what about the condition of the church of Jesus Christ. The truth is it appears the condition of the church resembles that of Jerusalem in Nehemiah's day, "...The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire." Nehemiah 1:3b
When we see this condition do we mourn as this simple cup bearer to the king did and set out to do something about it, or do we turn our face away and ignore it. We must rise up and militantly set out to strengthen the walls and refortify our spiritual land "... and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18b
Friends, we need to join forces in prayer like never before. The nearing of the coming of the Lord, I believe, is right at the door, and we are seeing prophecy being fulfilled daily before our eyes. One of the most disheartening being Matthew 24:12, "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold."
The walls are broken down brothers and sisters. It's time to pray. So why fifteen minutes? Surveys show the average Christian prays 15 to 30 minutes a week. If we can get believers praying for fifteen minutes a day we have increased that statistic by seven times. In the book of Acts and prior to every known and true revival movement the people joined together in unity to call on God.
This fifteen minute prayer challenge is catching on. We have seen people who have heard about this in others states and country begin to join us; calling on God for revival in their areas. Our overseer for Touched by Mercy India even before we discussed that we were doing this in the states had called his team and churches to do the same at 8:00 PM. God is on the move friends, and moving the hearts of his people to pray!
Will you please join us, where ever you are at, for fifteen minutes each night at 7:00 PM. As you pray God will "...heal your land."
I love you all!!!
